Thank you for the opportunity to assist you with a renovation to your home!
Over the past 9 years we have become known to the folks for whom we have worked as a company that can be trusted to skillfully renovate their home.
Reconstruct opened in 1999 with a focus on providing outstanding service to repair and restoration clients. Our attention to detail pleased clients, and they told friends about us.
So when we were asked to take on remodeling projects, we jumped at the chance! Clients loved the modest kitchen and bathroom remodels, and we enjoyed the challenge and creative aspects of remodeling.
A garage with studio upstairs and a screen porch initiated us into the world of additions. We did the design work for these projects, so our name was amended to Reconstruct Design-Build.
Introducing the Principal
BY THE WAY, for the owner and principal, David McAdams (Duff), building is a mid-life career choice. He has enjoyed a colorful work life, including service as an ordained minister for eleven years. Prior to that he worked as a manufacturing engineer and supervisor in electronics. Building and design were long-time avocations that finally became vocation.

Our Story II
Today, we still do most of our own design work, in collaboration with a structural engineer. Our state-of-the-art computer-aided design software enables clients to visualize design alternatives.
Using a builder/designer offers clients many advantages. Having the builder involved from project conception means that design can be optimized for cost from the start. And this arrangement lowers project cost by reducing the need for costly design changes during construction.
For large and complex project design, we collaborate with architects and residential designers. We have been known to partner with other builders. Thus we can offer you the personal service of a small company. And through a network of design and building specialists you enjoy the wider resources of a larger organization.
As a team of remodeling professionals, we continue to learn and innovate. We treasure the opportunity to know our clients, to help make a house a beautiful, functional home -- a place of interest, peace and connection.
